Our Legacy: Who We Are

Schaumburg Honda proudly operates under The Rohrman Automotive Group, one of the largest family-owned and operated automotive groups in the United States. Our legacy began in 1963 when Bob Rohrman finished his service in the United States Army and returned to Lafayette, IN, where he opened his first used car lot. His goal was to establish a dealership that treated customers like family by offering superior service and high-quality products. 

With the success of his first used car dealership, Bob Rohrman expanded his family business and established the Rohrman Automotive Group. Schaumburg Honda was opened in 1985, and we quickly became the highest-volume dealership in the group. With franchises throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, the Rohrman legacy flourished as drivers entrusted him with their automotive needs, valuing his ethics, personable approach, and community outreach. Before long, Bob Rohrman became a local icon, known for his charisma and fun-filled advertisements that welcomed customers to his dealerships. 

In 2018, Bob Rohrman's grandson and former Schaumburg Honda salesman, Ryan Rohrman, succeeded him as the CEO of Rohrman Automotive Group, continuing his legacy and efforts to establish a new framework within the automotive industry. As part of his vision, we moved from our original location to a brand-new 173,000 sq.ft. facility in 2024, making us the largest Honda dealership in the world and giving our customers an even better experience when they visit us.
